Welcome to my publication’s about page!
My name is David, and I write about issues of economics and public policy.
I focus on global economic developments, but I also write about country-specific developments that I can explain using my training in economics and public policy.
I also analyze findings from academic papers in economics and discuss policy implications.
My goal with this publication is to provide educational and relatable content on economics, with a special focus on macroeconomics, and public policy. Each article is less than a 10-minute read, designed for clarity and impact.
My articles are informed by my research and professional experience. I have worked as a policymaker in the public sector and as an economist at a multilateral development bank (MDB). In the public sector my work revolved around regional development policies and attracting foreign direct investment to support local economies and create well-paid jobs. At the MDB I was country economist for various countries in Latin America and the Caribbean, and supported the organization’s analytical work in Europe and Central Asia. Somewhere in between I taught lab-sessions in statistics and econometrics for public policy analysis to grad students.
Many thanks for reading. If any of this is of interest to you, please consider subscribing. This is a reader supported publication.
